Hollyoaks' newest romance storyline gets off to a rocky start next week, as Levi Rochester clashes with Scott Drinkwell.

Show bosses have confirmed that Dr Levi is a new love interest for Scott (Ross Adams), but things are far from romantic when they first come face-to-face.

Scenes airing late next week see Mitchell Deveraux and Cleo McQueen invite Levi to join them for Scott's latest drag performance at The Dog.

While Mitchell and Cleo can't get enough of Scott's act, Levi is not amused.

Levi gets offended as he thinks that Mitchell (Imran Adams) and Cleo (Nadine Mulkerrin) only invited him to the drag show because he's gay.

Things only get worse when Scott tries to involve Levi in the act, which doesn't go down well and creates an awkward atmosphere for everyone.

The next day, Levi meets Scott out of costume for the first time and asks him out, not recognising him as the drag queen from the previous night.

Scott is still angry with Levi's behaviour and gives him a frosty reception, but can the local doctor talk him round?

Show bosses have cast former EastEnders star Cerith Flinn in the role of Levi, who's also involved in Maxine Minniver's storyline.

Speaking recently, Cerith commented: "Working on Hollyoaks has been a blast so far. It's one of the nicest sets I've worked on, and cast and crew are like one big family.

"Working with Ross Adams who plays Scott has been great fun and an absolute pleasure. He's a pure gentleman."

Hollyoaks airs these scenes on Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
