Yahoo News Hollyoaks shares Edward Hutchinson's killer secret
Hollyoaks has revealed a deadly secret from Edward Hutchinson's past.
The missing Tony's father has been plotting to get rid of Finn O'Connor (Keith Rice), having most recently proposed an alliance with Sally St. Claire (Annie Wallace) to stitch Finn up.
Their secret meeting was spotted by Finn's best mate Yasmine Maalik (Haiesha Mistry), yet Finn resisted her help when she tried to tell what her she'd seen in Thursday's (December 5) first-look episode.
Edward continued to play mind games with Finn by suggesting he make amends with the community by apologising at Marnie Nightingale's (Lysette Anthony) cafe grand opening.
Finn tried to put in his best effort, stepping up in front of the line of people outside the patisserie so he could "speak his truth".
"I can't take back what I did, but I am trying to be a better person," he told the crowd. "I was a messed-up kid. There was something broken in my head, and prison fixed it. They gave me therapy."
As Nancy (Jessica Fox) and Sally (Annie Wallace) were looking on, James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) turned the crowd against him by calling him a "pervert".
An embarrassed Finn resolved to leave Hollyoaks once and for all, but was surprised when Yazz showed her true feelings for him with a kiss.
While feelings were blossoming between Finn and Yazz, Edward continued scheming by encouraging Diane (Alex Fletcher) to distance herself from her son for his own good.
Just when it looked as if Edward was gaining the upper-hand, Yazz found an old news article that shocked both her and Finn — it revealed that Edward was once arrested on suspicion of killing his wife!
Hollyoaks airs Mondays through Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm.
