Hollyoaks star Susie Amy announces pregnancy

Hollyoaks and Footballers' Wives star Susie Amy has announced that she's pregnant.

The actress took to Instagram yesterday (October 22) to share a photo of her baby bump, revealing to fans that she is due to give birth in January.

She wrote: "For the first time – maybe in my life – I can't wait for January!!"

Her Hollyoaks husband Gary Lucy, who also played her partner in Footballers' Wives jokingly replied to the post: "F**k! Did we ? No ? S**t ?!!!"

Amy received an overwhelming number of supportive messages from her friends and followers.

TV presenter Jenni Falconer wrote: "Congratulations!!! You look gorgeous."

While former EastEnders actress Lucy Benjamin replied: "I didn't know. Fab news and you look amazing."

Amy isn't currently appearing in Hollyoaks, but her most recent acting role was playing the wife of Lucy's Luke Morgan in the soap.

The pair were reunited in October last year. "I'm delighted to be joining Hollyoaks and my friend, Gary Lucy for a brilliant storyline," Amy said at the time. "It's a character they've been planning for a while and I'm thrilled to be involved.

"It's always a pleasure to work with a friend – but this in particular is going to be really special."

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4.
