Yahoo News Hollyoaks unveils George murder case's mystery witness

Hollyoaks has revealed George Kiss murder case's mystery witness is his former partner PC Smith.
The revelation came about in Friday's (May 14) first-look episode, after James Nightingale had encouraged John Paul to plead guilty to killing George.
James was met with a hostile reaction when he admitted to the McQueens that he couldn't defend a client he believed was guilty.
"John Paul was the victim of violence. You understand that, don't you?" Nana asked James. "That George shamed him over and over again. Then came the fists and the kicks. All that time, he made John Paul feel he was deserving of it all!
"And I'll say it, I am glad George is dead! I only wish I'd done it myself because then, my sweet, kind, innocent grandson wouldn't be pinning all his hopes on you coming to his rescue. So, if you can't find one last shred of humanity to help him, then you get out of here now! And never come back."
A tearful James walked out the door, seemingly abandoning John Paul. While the McQueens were devastated, it was Theresa who ultimately found the missing link to potentially save John Paul.

She visited George Kiss's partner PC Smith to pass along character references for John Paul, but it all devolved into an argument as Smith continued to insist George was the abusive one.
Theresa remembered that PC Smith had helped George fake his own death when the policeman admitted he'd "do anything, say anything" to get a dangerous man off the streets.
"What else would you do or say?" Theresa asked. "Is it you? Are you this mystery witness?"
PC Smith would only that he had a "duty of care" that required him to do "whatever it takes" to keep people safe.
Theresa returned to The Dog to share the news that PC Smith had lied in his witness statement, but the family were left with one major dilemma: how could they prove it?
Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
