Yahoo News Home and Away star Emily Symons talks Marilyn's surprising reaction to John's new romance

Marilyn Chambers actress Emily Symons has shed some light on her character's reaction to ex John Palmer's new romance with Susie McAllister in Home and Away.
In the soap's Australian broadcast, John has started getting to know Summer Bay newcomer Susie, who's taken a shine to him, but these scenes won't be out on UK soil for another three weeks.
You'd imagine that the green-eyed monster might rear its head in the coming episodes, as John and Susie really kick on with their connection, but apparently, Marilyn isn't fazed at all.
Symons told Now to Love in an interview: "She was astonished... where did John find this fancy girlfriend? There is so much excitement in the Bay, that Marilyn eventually isn't too bothered about John and his new love interest.
"I think for Marilyn everything is balancing out and she is finding her way."

The star went on to reveal what fans can expect from Marilyn throughout the next 12 months.
"We will see Marilyn as a support system for her friends Roo and Mr. Stewart. Marilyn also gets involved with some fun things with Ryder and the other young cast," she said.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5, with first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR.
