Yahoo News Home and Away's Kieran faces new rejection as Martha returns

Home and Away's Kieran Baldivis is left disappointed on UK screens next week, as Martha Stewart reacts frostily to his return.
Kieran (Rick Donald) recently returned to Summer Bay in the hope of reconciling with his mum, but his hopes were put on hold when he discovered that she was away in Merimbula.
In next week's episodes on Channel 5, Martha (Belinda Giblin) finally makes a return after reading an emotional letter from Kieran, who's desperate for her forgiveness.
Much to everyone's surprise, though, Martha doesn't seem to have warmed to her wayward son after reading what he has to say.

Martha rebukes her daughter Roo (Georgie Parker) for letting Kieran stay, pointing out that she'd made it clear she wasn't ready to have him back in her life.
Later on, Martha agrees to see Kieran and hears him out. However, although Kieran says all the right things, Martha gives nothing away and is noticeably frosty towards him.
Another Kieran-related drama soon engulfs the Bay when Kieran misreads the signals with his friend and housemate Jasmine Delaney (Sam Frost).
When Kieran tries to kiss Jasmine, he knows that he has messed up. Jasmine is understanding and tries to get Kieran to calm down, but she suffers a seizure while she's talking to him.

As Jasmine collapses, Alf and Martha pass by and see Kieran desperately trying to help her.
Alf (Ray Meagher) is quick to jump to the wrong conclusions, assuming that Kieran has hurt Jasmine. He urges Martha to call an ambulance and the police.
Once Jasmine regains consciousness, she clears Kieran's name and explains her recent medical diagnosis.
Even so, Kieran still blames himself for what happened as Jasmine forgot to take her medication after he tried to kiss her.

Martha soon decides that Kieran is her burden to bear and it's time to stop relying on her friends to look after him.
Kieran is surprised when Martha invites him to stay at Summer Bay House, but it's clear that she still doesn't fully trust him. Can they ever sort things out?
Home and Away airs these scenes on Tuesday, August 31 and Wednesday, September 1 at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.
