The Hoppings confirm cheapest and most expensive ride prices for 2024 as new attractions arrive

The weather thankfully looks like it's taking a turn for the better this week, which is just as well, as it's almost time for The Hoppings to open in Newcastle once again.

There's no denying the fact that Europe's largest travelling funfair hasn't always been dealt the best hand when it's come to the weather, with some years seeing an absolute deluge of rain, bringing a nightmare for organisers who did their best to make sure that the event could still go ahead.

Last week, it was confirmed that this year's Hoppings will be 'slightly smaller' this year, given to some difficulties with the ground up at the Town Moor, but visitors to the event can be assured that there's still plenty to enjoy from June 21-30. With The Hoppings weather forecast actually looking rather favourable this time round (hope we haven't spoken too soon!) huge crowds are expected to flock to the Moor as the event enjoys a slightly extended run until Sunday, June 30.

And the 2024 fair is welcoming two massive new additions in the form of a 60m high big wheel and the daring white knuckle ride XXL. The Hoppings ride list has now been released in full and the funfair's website has also revealed just how much people can expect to be pay to have a turn on them.

A line in the FAQs section of The Hoppings website states that all rides are priced individually and range from £1.50 to £4 for most of them, with a few 'specialist rides 'up to £10.

For people wanting to pay in cash for all their rides, there will be a number of ATMs on site at the Moor, but most rides will also have the ability to take card/contactless payment.

As always, entry to The Hoppings is completely free, with the fun set to get going around 1pm on opening Friday, June 21.
