Horrifying footage shows moment car plummets from motorway flyover and into crowd of pedestrians

This is the moment a car plummeted 20ft from a motorway flyover into a crowd of people - leaving one woman dead and six others injured.

Horrifying CCTV footage shows the car ploughing through safety barriers and off the edge of the flyover.

It landed on a group of pedestrians who were waiting at a bus stop in Hyderabad, Telangana in southern India on Saturday afternoon.

According to local police, the car is understood to have been travelling at more than 100km/ph when it crashed - on a road with a 40km/ph speed limit.

That was despite the speed limit on the road being 40km per hour.

Some pedestrians managed to dive out of the way when they saw the approaching car.
