‘The Horror of Dolores Roach,’ ‘Harlan Coben’s Shelter’ and ‘With Love’ Canceled at Amazon Prime Video

There will be no new seasons of “The Horror of Dolores Roach,” “Harlan Coben’s Shelter” or “With Love” at Prime Video, the streamer announced on Tuesday.

Originally created by Aaron Mark as a one-woman play, “Empanada Loca,” Mark created, wrote, and directed the original podcast and penned the pilot script for “The Horror of Dolores Roach.” The series followed the titular character (played by Justina Machado), “who returns to a gentrified Washington Heights, where she reunites with an old stoner friend, Luis, who lets her live and work as a masseuse in the basement under his empanada shop. When the promise of her newfound stability is quickly threatened, ‘Magic Hands’ Dolores is driven to shocking extremes to survive,” reads the official description.

Both “The Horror of Dolores Roach” and “Shelter” were canceled after one season. “Shelter” follows the story of Mickey Bolitar who, after the death of his father leads him to start a new life in suburban New Jersey. When another new student disappears, Mickey finds himself tangled in a web of secrets. With the help of two new friends, Spoon and Ema, they reveal a dark underground that may hold the answers to decades of disappearances. Jaden Michael, Constance Zimmer, Adrian Greensmith star.

Based on the novels by Harlan Coben, Coben and Allen MacDonald also serve as executive producers along with Edward Ornelas and Erik Barmack. Charlotte Coben serves as a producer with Patricia Cardoso who serves as director and executive producer.

Created and executive produced by Gloria Calderón Kellett, “With Love” was canceled months after its second season was released in June. The romantic dramedy followed siblings Lily and Jorge Diaz “as they navigate big life changes and rely on their equally big family to get them through their thirties. From weddings and new loves to heartbreak and good old-fashioned family drama, season two shows Lily and Jorge grow like we’ve never seen them before,” per the official description. Emeraude Toubia, Mark Indelicato, Rome Flynn star.

The series is co-produced by Kellett’s production company, GloNation and Amazon Studios.
