Huddersfield street sealed off by police after 'incident' with two cars

Police have sealed off a residential street in Huddersfield, following an 'incident' involving two cars.

The incident occurred in the Royds Avenue area at about 5pm yesterday (Wednesday, April 24). Residents in the Paddock say their street has been blocked off by police while investigations are underway.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to the Royds Avenue area of Huddersfield yesterday following reports of an incident involving the occupants of two cars. Enquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what has happened and a scene is in place. Nobody is believed to have been injured at this stage.

"The report was received at 5pm yesterday evening from ambulance service colleagues who were attending the area in connection with a separate matter."
