Hulk Hogan is back baby! The white-moustachioed former wrestler (born Terry Bollea) has announced via Twitter that he's been reinstated to the WWE Hall of Fame three years after he'd been banned for having made racist comments.

"Just met with the @WWE Superstars and on all levels the volume of love and support was overwhelming," wrote Hogan.

"I've been praying for this day and I finally feel like I made it back home. Only Love 4 the #WWEUNIVERSE brother HH," he finished.

A statement regarding Hogan's return was made via the official WWE Twitter account.

There had been rumours back in March that Hogan might get a chance of returning to the WWE.

"Yeah, I'm ready. Things are moving in that direction quite quickly," he told Chris Van Vliet.

"It's all about execution, timing, and right place, and right time. But things are good."

The 64-year-old had been axed by the WWE in 2015 after it was reported that he had made racist comments against his daughter's Brooke Hogan, former boyfriend in 2007.

"They had to do what was best for business, for their company. It's probably the stupidest thing I ever said, the people who know me know I'm not a racist," Hogan told Van Vliet about the controversy that lead to his sacking.

"I said something horrible and I will live with it forever, but that's not me, that's not who I am," he added.

Hogan has won six WWE Championship and a further six World Championship Wrestling's heavyweight titles.
