Hull City goalkeeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala has been handed a major boost after the FA confirmed it had overturned his sending off on Saturday afternoon playing for Doncaster Rovers, having been adjudged to have handled the ball outside his penalty area and denied clear goalscoring opportunity.

Lo-Tutala was dismissed early in the second half at Priestfield Stadium with Rovers leading 2-0 and on course to claim an 11th-straight league win and set a new club record, but the Gills recovered to earn a 2-2 draw and deny Grant McCann's men a piece of history on the final day of the regular season.

The City loan goalkeeper will now be available for Monday night's play-off semi-final first leg at Crewe Alexandra (5:30pm), as Rovers look to seal a place in the final after a remarkable run of form which saw the South Yorkshire side go from January relegation candidates to fifth in the table. Since joining Rovers, Lo-Tutala has played 18 games under McCann's tutelage, keeping seven clean sheets.

"Thimothee Lo-Tutala will be available for the next Doncaster Rovers game following a successful claim of wrongful dismissal.

"The goalkeeper was sent off for denying an obvious scoring opportunity by handling the ball outside of his area in their EFL League Two game against Gillingham on Saturday, 27 April," the FA said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Ryan Longman has been awarded Millwall's Goal of the Season for his stunning strike to help the Lions to a huge 1-0 win over Leicester City at The Den on April 9.

Longman, who has earned praise from boss Neil Harris, raced away down the left-hand side before cutting in and angling in an unstoppable shot into the top corner. City's former League One-winning star George Honeyman claimed third place in the fans' Player of the Year crown.
