Hull City's wretched home run finally came to an end in some style on Saturday afternoon as they swept aside struggling QPR 3-0 at the MKM Stadium.

First half goals from Ozan Tufan and Fabio Carvalho were added to in the second half by Jaden Philogene to see the Tigers end their run of six games without victory at the seventh attempt and in the process, keep alive their hopes of a top-six finish.

City were good value for their victory and will be delighted to have collected a rare clean sheet in the process amid what was a spirited defensive display and an attacking performance full of pace and promise.

Here's how Tigers reporter Barry Cooper rated the players at the MKM Stadium on Saturday afternoon....

Ryan Allsop: Forced into a decent save inside 20 seconds from Morgan Fox and another second half which he needed help from Jacob Greaves with. 7/10

Matty Jacob: Played well in the first half including a couple of useful interceptions inside his own box and then cleared one off the line in the second period. 7/10

Jacob Greaves: One moment of mild panic in the first half but came away with the ball. Much more of a challenge in the second but stuck to the task well. Did collect a booking for his troubles. 7/10

Alfie Jones: Didn't have a huge amount to do in a half the Tigers dominated, much more work to do in the second as QPR went for broke. 7/10

Regan Slater: Got up and down the pitch well in the first half from right-back. Rattled the post in the second half though the flag did go up, and then picked up a useful booking. 7/10

Tyler Morton: Still has a tendency to give the ball away too cheaply on the edge of his own box at times. Some really good stuff, but shows quite a bit of naivety at times. 6/5/10

Jean Michael Seri: Did what he does so well. Wins it and shifts it. A really good performance in the engine room from Mika, coming on the back of one against Boro. 7/10

Ozan Tufan: A sumptuous flick with his heel early on got the crowd purring and then his glorious strike had them cheering when he bent one in the top corner from 25 yards out. Was a delight to watch, and that goal was something else. 9/10

Jaden Philogene: A real threat first half, could have done better to weight the pass for Carvalho to score a second. Did get on the scoresheet in the second half with a lovely volley. 8/10

Abdush Omur: Another terrific display from the player dubbed the Turkish Messi. Such good play at both ends and involved in Carvalho's goal. The only thing missing from his game is a goal. 8/10

Fabio Carvalho: Involved in just about everything City did well throughout the game, and deservedly got on the scoresheet with his 8th Tigers goal. A really clever finish. 8/10

Subs:

Liam Delap (on for Tufan 67): On to a rapturous reception and could have scored only for his effort to be cleared off the line by Clarke-Salter. A continuous threat, so good to have him back. 7/10

Ryan Giles (on for Omur 67): Needed the run-out having looked really rusty when he came on against his former side in midweek. 6/10

Greg Docherty (on for Carvalho 84): Good to see the Scotsman back on the pitch for a rare appearance. 6/10

Adama Traore (on for Seri 84): Almost connected with a clever Liam Delap cross but couldn't. 6/10

Cyrus Christie (on for Morton 90): Important header away in stoppage time with QPR pushing for a consolation. 6/10
