Hull KR suffer third injury blow with key forward out of Castleford Tigers clash

Hull KR have lost another of their key players ahead of their Super League clash against Castleford Tigers, with Jai Whitbread also missing the trip to West Yorkshire. Whitbread is one of three players missing the clash against Craig Lingard's side, with James Batchelor and Matt Parcell also ruled out.

Whitbread is understood to have suffered a groin issue that has seen him not risked, but leaves Rovers without two of their regular starters as they enter the Jungle. The absence of the trio has provided opportunities for new recruits Jack Brown and Danny Richardson, with the former Hull FC prop set to start in what is a direct swap for Whitbread. Richardson is on the bench and there's a recall for George King, who will also come off the bench.

In Batchelor's absence, Kelepi Tanginoa starts, with the bench line-up perhaps suggesting Storton will be used in the back-row, a position he has played previously, though he has been used as a middle more recently.

Elsewhere, Willie Peters has opted against recalling Joe Burgess, who was available for selection after missing the last three games. Jack Broadbent and Tom Opacic have both retained their positions in the side following their contributions in recent weeks.
