Human excrement’ left in a High Wycombe multi-storey car park has shocked a driver who said that hygiene issues at the site were now ‘on a new level’.

The waste was pictured outside of the lifts on Level 1 of the Dovecot Car Park next to Sainsbury’s.

Syringes, vapes, drinks containers and a sleeping bag had also been thrown out of the window onto a rooftop opposite the lifts.

Cardboard boxes, items of clothing and other debris had also been dumped on Level 2 of the car park.

Euro Car Parks, which manages the site, has been contacted about the rubbish and asked whether it will clear it up.

The Buckinghamshire resident who spotted some of the waste this week claimed that the car park’s cleanliness problem had ‘fallen to an all-time low’.

He said: “For 23 years the stairwells have consistently smelt of human excrement and now by the lift door I saw, yesterday, faeces that appeared and smelt old and presents a risk of unimaginable danger.”

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said the ‘sights and smell’ of the affected area were ‘disgusting’ but ‘not a one-off’.

He said: “There is stale urine also every time I have visited in the 23 years I’ve lived here but this is a new level.”

The man contacted Buckinghamshire Council, which is not responsible for the site, although its Environmental Health team is looking into the issues. The council said the car park is owned by Euro Car Parks on behalf of Sainsbury’s.
