Hungry Monkey Eats Letters From Mail Box Then Jumps On Top Of Police Car

Monkey see, monkey do, or so the saying goes.

But where did this monkey see someone eating letters from a mail box and jumping on top of a police car?

Those were the antics of one monkey named Zeek who ran amok in the town of Sanford, Florida on Monday morning.

Residents in one street got a bit of a shock when they saw Zeek perched on top of a mail box, chewing into someone’s letters. Let’s hope they were only energy bills.

When the police arrived on the scene after a call from a neighbour, Zeek simply went for a run on top of their police car, pulling at the vehicle’s antennae.

Eventually, officers distracted the monkey with a bottle of water and it calmed down. He was caught when his owner returned home a short time later.

Officers were able to distract the monkey with a bottle of water, after it started tearing at the police cars.

At least the police had a sense of humour about the whole thing, posting pictures and videos of Zeek in action on their Facebook page.
