Iceland has issued a warning over one of its savoury rice products as it could pose a risk to people who have allergies.

The supermarket is recalling Iceland 4 Golden Savoury Rice Steam Bags because they may contain crustaceans, fish, milk and molluscs that are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to any of those things.

The bags affected have a best before date of November 16, 2025, and the pack size is 600g. Customers who have bought the product are asked not to eat it if they have any of the above allergies. They are asked to return it to the store for a refund.

The Iceland warning notice says: "We are taking the precautionary measure of recalling this date code of the above product because it may contain undeclared fish, crustaceans, molluscs and milk and therefore poses a potential risk to people that have an allergy to fish, crustaceans, molluscs and milk. Only the best before date listed in this notice is affected.

"If you have purchased any of the above product, do not eat it. Instead follow the below Instructions: Check if you have bought any of the affected product. Please return to any Iceland store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required."

Full details of the warning, which has also been shared by the Food Standards Agency, are outlined below.
