Iconic Sydney Harbour Landmarks Shrouded in Bushfire Haze
The harbour views from Sydney’s Cremorne Reserve were obscured by smoke as emergency-level bushfires raged across New South Wales on November 12.
Fires burned along the coast of New South Wales in what state officials described as a “catastrophic” fire situation.
Extreme heat and winds had exacerbated already dry conditions and increased fire activity across the east coast since Friday, November 8. Three people were killed and a number were missing while hundreds of properties were damaged as a result of the fires, authorities said.
