The Idea at Hoxton Basement: Everything you need to know

If you crave the simplicity of a basement, an incredible sound system, a full dancefloor and a DJ set to remember, then head down to the Idea this weekend.

Expect a mix of rolling house and low-swung minimal techno at the Hoxton Basement. You may recognise the space from various Boiler Room broadcasts, or as the former home of Percolate.

Headlining this Friday February 22 is Fabe, who is likely to deliver the same mixture of bouncy minimal grooves found on his studio output. The German is signed to Sven Vath's label Cocoon and plays regularly at Club der Visionäre in Berlin, as well as Mannheim's Parker Lewis.

Leeds-based Kepler adds further weight to the bill. He has continued to flourish with a whole host of releases under his belt, with yet more to come this year. Some of the scene's heavy-hitters have thrown their support behind him, including Seth Troxler, Petre Inspirescu, Raresh, Enzo Siragusa and more.

Virgo Festival co-founder Jacques Adda rounds off the line-up. The ultimate crate-digger, he has the ability to effortlessly blend genres in his vinyl-only sets.

The night is hosted by The Idea, which is known for promoting new talent from across the musical spectrum. The music at its nights is taken very seriously, but the atmosphere is always kept light and energetic, attracting a forward-thinking crowd.
