You've probably forgotten about Ikea's upcoming collaboration with Off-White creator Virgil Abloh.

The news was announced in June 2017 and, since then, the designer has been appointed Men's Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton and managed to stay extremely tight-lipped about what we can expect from the much-anticipated Ikea collection.

Ikea themselves have become something of a fashion statement over the past year, mainly thanks to Balenciaga, which created a luxe take on the Swedish brand's classic Frakata bag, taking the 40p plastic shopper and turning it into a £1,600 cult streetwear item.

With the long-awaited collaboration drawing closer, here's what we know so far:

Virgil has created his own Frakata creation

Continuing the Balenciaga Frakta bag hype, the cult designer is going to be creating his own Off-White x Ikea shopper which is sure to cause quite a frenzy.

"We’re in a moment where IKEA is transcending, and people are bringing this “do it yourself” culture” to the blue bag," explained Abloh on Ikea's Instagram.

"What I’m most interested in is doing that process in partnership with the brand. It’s allowing me to put my opinion on a classic. It’s unique, and distinctly as much of off-white as it's IKEA."

Instead of opting for the original blue, Abloh has used Ikea's second signature colour, yellow. And, by the looks of things, the bag also has a designer finish, being made out of sturdy material and boasting a cross body strap as well as the normal handles.

It also has one of Off-White's most recognisable slogans, "Sculpture," emblazoned across the front, giving a nod to Abloh's industrial and underground influences.

Although the price is yet to be confirmed, we are sure it will be a lot less than the usual £800 it costs for an Off-White bag, Expect a sell-out.

There will be a selection of rugs

Looking for a way to jazz up your home? One of Abloh's rugs ought to do it.

The designer has already given us several sneak peeks of the upcoming designs, consisting of a monotone oriental rug adorned with 'Keep Off' in Off-White's signature quotation marks.

There will also be a large red rug, with the word "Blue" bang in the middle of it. And, if you look closely, Abloh posted a black and white snap, yesterday, of a rug which looks like it has a receipt printed on it.
