I'm A Celebrity 2016: EastEnders' star Larry Lamb confirmed for the jungle

It’s very nearly November, which means that before long we’ll all be spending our evenings watching celebrities battle cockroaches and grubs in the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here jungle.

It is still unknown which exact celebs will be flying out to the Aussie outback, but former EastEnders star, Larry Lamb, has apparently been confirmed.

How bloomin’ exciting.

The 69-year-old actor played evil Archie Mithcell in the hit BBC One soap and he has now reportedly signed a huge six-figure deal to appear in the ITV show.

Speaking to The Mirror, a source revealed: “It’s a mega coup for the show, they have wanted to get Larry for a long time and he finally agreed to it this year.

“He is very popular with the ladies, especially older house wives. He’s going to be a massive hit.”

The insider added that Larry finally agreed to sign up after being left impressed by last year’s show, explaining: “Larry loved last year’s show and he was enthralled by Lady C, especially because they’ve got history.

“He found it all very entertaining and he can’t wait to give it a go, he’s a big fan.”

Larry previously dated last year’s contestant, Lady Colin Campbell.

If rumours are true, Larry will be joining the likes of Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas, radio host Lisa Snowdon, broadcaster Danny Baker, and McFly star Tom Fletcher.

Needless to say, we couldn’t be more excited for the show to get underway.
