I’m A Celebrity: George Shelley Comforted By Campmates As He Admits To Feeling ‘Trapped’

It’s not all singing around the campfire and toasting rice and beans in I’m A Celebrity.

In fact, despite being outside in the jungle, George Shelley has admitted the whole show can make you feel ‘trapped’.

The Union J member was comforted by his campmates, particularly Ferne McCann, Jorgie Porter and Lady Colin Campbell, as he had a down moment in the show.

Finding a spot away from the main camp, George told a worried Ferne: “I’m just going to sit here for a bit.

“I’ve got so bad, I feel panicky. I feel like I’m panicking. I don’t know, I feel really weird. I feel like I’ve hit the wall or something.”

Heading to the Bush Telegraph, he then said through tears: “It’s not about how long it’s going to be until it ends or anything, I just feel trapped. It’s really weird.

“I feel like it’s Groundhog Day, I just think I’ve hit a wall. I think I’ve just got to the end of being able to cope with it. I’ve held it in for a long, there’s only so much of it I can take.”

Luckily, his campmates were on hand to give him a cuddle to cheer him up.

He later told Ferne: “No one ever says to me you’re down (outside of the jungle), I’m always the life and soul, lifting people’s spirits, that’s what I like to do. I thought I’d be like that in here.“

Ferne replied: “You are. We just have moments that completely shovel over everything.”

“I feel better, I don’t want to be down, I want to be looking like I’m enjoying it, I am enjoying it.”

Fingers crossed George can fully enjoy the rest of his jungle experience.
