I'm A Celebrity's Nick Pickard jokes he'd like Jamie Lynn Spears' agent amid US talent show talk

What did you miss?

I'm A Celebrity star Nick Pickard joked that he would love his former campmate Jamie Lynn Spears’ agent after she apparently went from one reality show to another.

The pair were both contestants on the current series of the ITV jungle show, with Spears leaving in November “on medical grounds” and Hollyoaks actor Pickard becoming the latest star to be eliminated. Spears is now back at home in the US and there are rumours that she is returning to Dancing With The Stars for a finale, after competing on the show earlier this year.

What, how, and why?

Pickard couldn’t resist joking about it when he appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain not long after leaving camp. Discussing all the speculation about Spears and the dance show, he quipped: "Wish I had her agent!" He also asked: "How has she got the energy?"

The star also confessed that he wasn’t that sad to have left the jungle, where the campmates live on a basic diet of beans and rice unless they win stars to swap for better grub. "It really is overwhelming coming out." he said.

He added: "I’m glad to be out but… half of you wishes you could get into the final and make it because you are honoured to be asked, but then the other half is thinking, counting down the days, 'If I come out now I've got six days in a lovely place'." Pickard said when he was in the camp people weren’t thinking about who was going to go, but that they spent their days thinking about what was going to happen next and “talking about food”.

What else happened on Good Morning Britain?

Talking about life in the jungle, the actor admitted that the campers had thought the noises they heard were just on a recording being played for them.

He said: "The first few nights, it takes a while to acclimatise so I was like, 'What’s that? What’s that? What’s that?' Every part of the day because, well every part of the night when you are sleeping because the sounds are so raw. We all thought there were speakers playing the noises…. When you are there for a little bit of time you are like, 'Oh my God that is real' and it is overwhelming, it is so raw and so natural, it's unbelievable."

When did Jamie Lynn Spears leave the show?

Spears left I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! on 29 November, and ITV said in a statement that it was "on medical grounds". "She's been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities," the broadcaster said.
