'I'm a Celeb': Watch Emily Atack freak out during 'X Factor' themed Bushtucker Trial

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’s resident screecher Emily Atack had another tough day in the jungle, freaking out over an X Factor-themed trial that saw her covered in green ants.

The Inbetweeners star and Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer took part in a Bushtucker Trial where they were locked inside X-shaped clear boxes with their mouths clamped open and asked to sing some of the X Factor stars’ greatest hits which their campmates had to guess at.

But not having the full use of her mouth didn’t stop Atack from letting out some ear-splitting screams as the box she was in was filled up with green ants which crawled all over her as she tried to sing.

Thompson-Dwyer also struggled with the challenge, looking close to tears by the time they completed it and were released.

Atack’s campmates had made fun of her earlier in the day for not being able to follow Fleur East’s moves as she tried to teach her a dance, but as the actress flapped about trying to shake off the ants, presenter Holly Willoughby joked: “You’ve got the moves now, Emily.”

The pair managed to warble their way through hits including Little Mix’s ‘Shout Out to My Ex’, James Arthur’s ‘Impossible’, and East’s own track ‘Sax’, earning points for the camp.

It isn’t the first time that Atack and Thompson-Dwyer have shared a horrific experience – in the opening episode, they were the only two celebrities asked to do a sky dive, which left them both in tears and screaming.

However, after opening up during the episode about a tough break up and being single, Atack was inundated with offers of dates.

The X Factor Bushtucker Trial also included something called ‘The Sick Chair Challenge’, where six of the other celebrities had to down foul liquidised concoctions including vomit fruit, pig’s penis and turkey testicles.

Anne “The Governess” Hegerty stunned her co-stars by managing to knock back a glass full of fish guts in just 12 seconds, although earlier she had struggled to chomp her way through a witchetty grub, managing it just in time in another part of the trial.
