Inbetweeners star James Buckley has made $1 million by selling videos and personalised messages to fans from around the world.

The 35-year-old actor, best known for his role as Jay in The Inbetweeners, has made more money than anyone else on the platform. He is certainly capitalising on his fame from the TV show and two films, with a picture of Jay in school uniform as his profile picture on the platform.

In the very first video, Buckley also admits: “You probably know me better as Jay from The Inbetweeners.”

Buckley includes catchphrases from the show in his personalised videos, such as “Ooooh friend!” and “clunge”, to best please his fans.

When ordering videos, users can also request Cameo stars to say certain phrases or address certain topics, like wishing people happy birthday or referencing unique events.

Cameo co-founder Martin Blencowe has given an explanation for his popularity, telling Lad Bible: “James was incredibly popular from the start, but he’s stayed committed to his fans, always keeping an accessible price (even during his busiest periods) and giving his all to make each Cameo special.

“In return, he’s gained the financial freedom and overwhelming fan support to pursue the projects he’s most passionate about, like 2:22 - A Ghost Story, the West End play I was fortunate enough to see him and Tom star in, and his family’s YouTube channel, At Home With The Buckleys.”
