'Incredibly dangerous' M4 Audi driver hit 103mph on motorway with six passengers and no seatbelts
An Audi driver who sped along the the M4 at speeds of up to 100mph with six passengers without seatbelts has been jailed. Sasho Yankov, of Penrhiwceiber Road, Mountain Ash, was seen driving a black Audi A4 on the motorway in Wiltshire at 103mph on August 27, 2022.
Police officers pulled Yankov, 44, over and discovered one of the passengers without seatbelts was a girl aged around six-years-old sitting on the lap of the passenger in the front seat. Roads Policing Officer Steve Harding described his actions as "incredibly dangerous" and said a collision under the circumstances would have been "catastrophic".
It was also discovered that Yankov had been disqualified from driving previously and wasn’t insured to drive the Audi. He was reported to court and the vehicle seized.

Appearing at Swindon Magistrates Court on Monday, April 22, Yankov was charged with causing a danger of injury due to the manner in which his passengers were carried, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance and excess speed. He was jailed for three months.
Mr Harding said: "Yankov’s actions were incredibly dangerous – the stretch of the motorway which he was seen was unlit at the time and he was driving at more than 100mph. If he had come across anything in the carriageway he would have had no time to react to take any kind of avoiding action.
“With the number of unrestrained passengers in the vehicle, especially the young girl in the front seat, the consequences of any kind of collision could have been catastrophic.”
