Indiana Firefighters Rescue Ducklings Stuck in Storm Drain

Firefighters in Indianapolis, Indiana, used two nets to rescue ducklings out of a storm drain on Wednesday, April 24.

The Wayne Township Fire Department told Storyful that employees of International Paper called for assistance when they noticed a distressed mother duck walking around the storm drain.

Footage posted to the department’s Facebook page shows nine ducklings being plucked from the drain. After their rescue they waddled away behind their mama duck, the fire department said. Credit: Wayne Township Fire Department via Storyful
