'Injured' bald eagle was simply too full to fly

Wildlife officers who responded to a call about an injured bald eagle soon discovered the real reason why the bird was unable to get off the ground.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said that upon arrival, the officers noticed that the bird had no apparent injuries and was very mobile.

After catching the bird and inspecting it more closely, they determined that it had gorged itself on a big meal and was temporarily unable to create enough lift to fly.
