Injured Rescued After American University of Afghanistan Attack in Kabul

A security guard died and at least 21 people were wounded in an attack on the American University of Afghanistan in Kabul on Wednesday, August 24, according to reports. This video shows emergency workers rescuing the injured, who were taken to a nearby Italian-run hospital.

Witnesses said on social media that a large explosion took place before gunmen stormed into the facility. Many students and faculty were rushed out an exit leading to the nearby United Nations compound. Among the wounded was Associated Press photographer and 2012 Pulitzer Prize Winner Massoud Hossaini.
