Yahoo News Injustice 2 trailer is Batman v Superman done right
The latest Injustice 2 trailer might just give you the chills if you were supremely disappointed with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The sequel to the fan-favourite fighting game Injustice is set up basically as the Civil War of DC Universe, with the Dark Knight rallying the Justice League against a vengeful Man of Steel.
"In my years fighting crime, I've learned one truth - every hero is the villain of their own story," Batman explains in the new teaser.
If you recognised the voice of the Caped Crusader, it's probably because legendary Batman: The Animated Series voice actor Kevin Conroy is lending his gruff tones to Injustice 2.
Besides the stellar voice acting and a compelling superhero throwdown, Injustice 2 will also let players have DC grudge matches with many of their favourite heroes and villains.
This latest trailer alone showcases Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Robin in action, and also confirms that Justice League member Cyborg will be ready for battle too.
Batman will need all the muscle of the DC Universe if he stands any chance of stopping a Superman whose given up his lifelong aversion to killing.
Meanwhile, a shady group known as the Society are lurking in the background and might actually be responsible for pitting these heroes against one another.
Injustice 2 arrives on May 16, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
