Inside Kerry Katona's new downsized home she decorated herself

‌‌Kerry Katona gave fans a tour of her new, smaller home in Cheshire.

Taking her followers through an online tour of her home, she showcased her newly decorated living room, bedrooms and garden space.

Kerry decided to move into a smaller house as her children were starting leave home. Despite having to rent properties, the former Celebrity Big Brother star recently admitted that after 15 years she's now able to get a mortgage after being declared bankrupt.

The mum of five kicked off her house tour showing fans her living room which comes complete with a sprawling kitchen. The spacious room also has an island with a wooden countertop.

Revealing the space that also boasts a large oak table that sits towards the back of the room near her L-shaped grey sofa, she said: "I need to get my artwork up yet - this is all I’ve got to show you so far, but it’s absolutely beautiful and look at the size of this garden. It feels so much more homely - the other house was far too big, there just aren’t as many of us in it any more."

Taking fans into another room that still has a stack of cardboard boxes left to unpack, she said: "This will be where the pool table and the office and desk will go. But we’re getting there." Kerry also has a huge garden and a home gym, that had all of her equipment stacked to one side. She added: "I’ve always wanted a proper family home. Heidi’s leaving in September and I don't want to be rattling around in a big house."

This house move marks a huge update in her life as she's now been told she is finally eligible for a mortgage after she had to declare herself bankrupt 15 years ago, the Mirror reported. Explaining the monumental shift in her life, she said: "I have just been approved by a high street lender for a mortgage - how amazing is that? To go from being bankrupt 15 years ago and renting for 15 years, to now finally being told I can have a mortgage.

"I think the wisest decision now is to downsize and put even more money in my savings and get my own house that belongs to me. I'm really proud of myself and being very wise. I did all this by myself - all me. I’ve not stopped."

She then moved upstairs to the attic, which she said is to be Molly's room for when she visits. Next in the tour, Kerry showed off her bedroom that had a large mustard yellow quilted bed, she then headed into a bathroom across the hallway and told followers: "Look at that for a view - is that not just gorgeous?"

Clearly over the moon with her new home, she said: "I think this is going to be a lovely happy family home. I just need to keep those savings going and finally reach my dream - of buying my own home." Earlier this month, she revealed that she had moved out of her £2million Cheshire mansion as it was "too big." Kerry had moved into the huge pad in 2021 after becoming a millionaire yet again - but admitted it was difficult to maintain.
