This is Casa Abuela Tina - the holiday rental in Tenerife - where Jay Slater took what is believed to be his last snapchat picture before he mysteriously disappeared.

The getaway spot, which sits on the outskirts of the village of Masca on the Spanish island, shares premises with a bar and restaurant and offers views online as a vacation home. Two British compatriots, supposedly accompanying Jay on the eve of his disappearance, are understood to have lodged here before their return flight to Britain.

These unnamed individuals checked out on Wednesday morning. A photo shows Jay posing casually with a cigarette on the steps of the property just prior to his missing status.

An employee from the adjacent business shared: "The two British men have left. I think it was yesterday but I'm not sure." The young 19-year old's current location remains a mystery since his disappearance on the island on Monday, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Lucy Mae Law, a comrade of Jay's, sounded the distress signal subsequent to a phone call she received from him; Jay, an apprentice bricklayer hailing from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, rang her at approximately 8am on Monday stating he was en route back to their southern quarters on the island, thirsty and with barely 1 per cent battery remaining on his mobile.

Jay's phone went off shortly thereafter, and following that, his last traced whereabouts placed him in Rural de Teno, a mountainous region on the island. His immediate family has since arrived to assist in the search.

Lucy, a friend of the missing person, expressed her dissatisfaction with the Civil Guard's search efforts, stating "we need British police". Speaking to the Mirror, she said: "We need British police here. I just want to find my mate. He's been missing three days. It's not looking good now. We feel as though it's down to us to find him and that we're doing more than the police."
