Investigation launched as fire spreads to multiple buildings on Bradford street

A GARAGE fire last night at a Bradford home which spread to the roofs of adjoining properties is under investigation.

Fire engines from five stations and an aerial appliance were called at 9.23pm on Thursday (June 27) to the blaze on Woodside View in Cottingley.

The large garage fire spread to multiple properties on the street.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A garage fire, attached to house, and the garage fully involved in fire.

"The fire spread to the roof and adjoining properties' roof, which were fully involved in fire.

"The incident was made up to four fire engines and one aerial appliance and support pump.

"Six breathing apparatus, three hose reels and positive pressure ventilation fan were used to extinguish the fire.

"We left the scene at 11.54pm last night (June 27)."

The fire service spokesperson also confirmed no one was injuring, saying that "all person were accounted for".

They added that a fire investigation officer is at the scene today (Friday) "re-visiting the incident to ascertain cause of fire."

Bingley, Shipley, Fairweather Green, Keighley, and Stanningley fire stations attended the scene, as did an aerial appliance.
