Ione Skye Memoir ‘Say Everything’ To Be Published By Gallery Books

Gallery Books will publish actor Ione Skye’s memoir Say Everything: A Memoir next March, the publisher announced today.

The daughter of singer Donovan, Skye made her film debut opposite Keanu Reeves in 1986’s River’s Edge, followed by her role as Diane Court in Say Anything in 1989. She has appeared in other film and television projects including Zodiac, Wayne’s World, Fever Pitch, Arrested Development, Camping, Good Girls, Beef, among others.

She also is the author of the children’s book My Yiddish Vacation, and cohost of the weekly podcast Weirder Together.

Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, will publish Say Everything on March 4, 2025.

The publisher describes the book as written “with honesty, clarity and candor,” and says Skye “shares a life spent in Hollywood and reveals and reflects upon her messy, glamorous, and unapologetically unconventional life.”

“As an actress, thinking of my life as a drama helped me keep the painful parts at a distance,” Skye said in a statement. “Now, as an author, I am able to reconnect with the young woman I was and re-examine my life fully, with clarity and compassion.”

Pamela Cannon, Vice President and Executive Editor at Gallery Books, acquired North American, open market, and audio rights from Erin Hosier at Dunow, Carlson, and Lerner Literary Agency. The author will read the audio. HarperCollins will publish simultaneously in the UK.
