An Irish teenager has been raped by two men in Magaluf after he was kicked out of a brothel, it has been reported.

The 19-year-old man was reportedly the victim of a sexual assault after he was thrown out of the brothel on the infamous Punta Ballena trip in the town on the Spanish island of Majorca.

Island newspaper Ultima Hora said the man decided not to press charges after the incident, which allegedly took place at about 5.30am on Sunday.

The man, who had been separated from a group of friends during a night out, was reportedly welcomed into the brothel by two prostitutes on the promise of a striptease.

However, he was thrown out after he told them he didn’t have any money.

It was reported that the two men were waiting for the teenager when he was thrown out on to the streets via a back door.

He was later examined at Son Espases Hospital in the Majorcan capital Palma, where doctors are said to have confirmed he was the victim of a sex attack.

Known among some tourists as Shagaluf, the resort has suffered particularly bad press over the past 12 months after a video showing a Northern Irish teenage girl performing sex acts on a group of men during a bar crawl went viral last summer. It is estimated 1 million Britons visit the region each year, bringing 800 million euros (866 million dollars) to the local economy, but the council is desperate to improve the reputation of destination, reported British journal The Guardian. Police said no formal complaint has been made, but a source told Ultima Hora: “The hospital called police because of the nature of the man’s injuries and officers went to the hospital and spoke to the man but he told them he did not want to press charges.

“He also said he could not remember the name of the brothel he had been in.”

It was reported that the man was scheduled to leave Majorca on Monday.
