Israel Carries Out Airstrikes on Gaza Following Rocket Fire

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said multiple Hamas positions were targeted in strikes on the Gaza Strip on July 5 in response to rockets fired from the enclave.

The strikes targeted “an underground site for the production of weapons that is used by the chemistry department of the terrorist organization Hamas and a site for the production of raw materials for the organization’s rockets,” the IDF said.

On July 4, at least seven people were wounded in a car ramming and stabbing attack in Tel Aviv, Israel Police said.

Later on July 4, Israeli Forces withdrew from Jenin following a two-day operation.

At least 12 Palestinians were killed in the operation, Palestinian health officials reported.
