Italy and Spain meet again in the last four of a continental competition as they vie for a place in the Nations League Final.

The rematch of the Euro 2020 semi-final will be held at San Siro in Milan with a meeting with either France or Belgium at the same stadium awaiting the victor on Sunday.

Both sides are dealing with fitness issues ahead of the encounter.

Italy are bidding to extend a record 37-match unbeaten run but remain without Leonardo Spinazzola, who ruptured his achilles during Roberto Mancini’s side quarter-final win over the Belgians at the Euros.

Neither Ciro Immobile nor Andrea Belotti are available to the Italy manager, so Lorenzo Insigne is supported by Federico Chiesa and Federico Bernadeschi.

Spain, meanwhile, are missing a host of potential starters, including the over-burdened midfielder Pedri.

Thiago, Jordi Alba, Dani Olmo, Alvaro Morata and Gerard Moreno are all also absent, leaving Luis Enrique with a number of conundrums as he is forced to fill holes in his eleven.

Barcelona starlet Gavi becomes Spain’s youngest ever player, having only recently turned 17.

Unai Simon keeps his place in goal despite David de Gea’s strong recent form for Manchester United.

Italy starting XI: Donnarumma, Di Lorenzo, Bonucci, Bastoni, Emerson, Jorginho, Barella, Verratti, Chiesa, Bernadeschi, Insigne

Spain likely XI: Simon, Alonso, P. Torres, Laporte, Azpilicueta, Busquets, Gavi, Koke, Oyarzabal, Sarabia, F. Torres
