Yahoo News ITV announces airdate for Unforgotten series 5
ITV has revealed the release date for the fifth series of Unforgotten, the first to not feature Nicola Walker following her character's death in the end of series 4.
The broadcaster has announced that the drama will be back on Monday, February 27 on ITV1 and ITVX. That's just over 10 days away, so not too long at all.
In place of Walker, we've got Being Human and Derry Girls star Sinéad Keenan as DCI Jessica James. Her first day on the job doesn't go to plan, as her family life is thrown into chaos. Can she keep her focus and do what needs to be done?

Her first case also turns out to be a doozy. Human remains are found in a newly renovated property in Hammersmith.
It initially looks like this was a murder that took place in the 1930s, but it soon starts to look like the crime was a lot more recent...
Keenan previously spoke about her thrill at being cast, stating: "I have long been an admirer of Chris Lang’s [creator] work, so I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Unforgotten team.

"I’m very much looking forward to working with the extraordinary cast led by the brilliant and incredibly lovely Sanjeev Bhaskar. And I’m hoping that if I play my cards right I might even get to take a peek in Sunny’s backpack!"
Walker isn't the only star not to be returning for series 5, as DC Jake Collier actor Lewis Reeves has had to step aside due to scheduling conflicts with another series – but he's open to returning in future.
Unforgotten returns on Monday, February 27 on ITV1 and ITVX.
