George Sampson, the winner of ITV's Britain's Got Talent in 2008, has had quite a journey since his victory. Despite failing to impress judges Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden enough to reach the semi-finals in the first series, George returned a year later with a captivating contemporary dance performance to Singin' in the Rain, securing his title as BGT champion.

Following his win, George made appearances on various TV shows and signed promotional contracts, even dipping his toes into the music industry before parting ways with Simon Cowell in 2009. After a period away from the public eye, George returned to our screens in 2016 when he landed a role on Emmerdale and later participated in Celebrity Coach Trip with Roxanne Pallett in 2019.

Now, as BGT returns to our screens, we take a look at what George has been up to post-TV fame. He regularly showcases his talents on theatre stages across the country.

Having recently finished playing the lead in a UK-touring Robin Hood pantomime, he took to Instagram to share: "This past month has been an absolute roller coaster!" before the final show last week, according to the Daily Star.

Sharing a delightful snapshot in his Robin Hood costume with a furry companion, he conveyed his appreciation: "Playing Robin Hood on a national tour has been an unreal experience, thanks to everyone that came to watch the show! Here's me and my mate Sully having a much-needed cuddle between scenes," reports the Mirror.

Following his recent portrayal as the dashing Prince in Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs in Weymouth, Dorset, George added yet another pantomime role to his repertoire. His acting credits also include stints in Peter Pan and Cinderella.

In a personal revelation, it turns out George has undergone three hair transplants.

He once opened up about his receding hairline on This Morning, revealing he had spent £9,000 on the first two procedures. In a heartfelt conversation with former presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, he expressed his satisfaction with the results of the third transplant: "I'm so happy. It's difficult. I still get hundreds of men messaging me about it.

"I felt like an old man with a babyface, I had to wake up and look in the mirror and think I hate my hairline."

He likened his thinning hair to a "landing strip of bare skin" and credited football star Wayne Rooney, who had a similar procedure, as his inspiration.

George has opened up about his battle with alopecia, attributing his hair loss to stress, genetics and the physical demands of his energetic dance routines. But he hasn't allowed this to define him, instead choosing to make bold statements through his other visible feature - his tattoos.

George, formerly recognised for his clean-cut teen image, has since evolved towards a more edgy aesthetic, particularly punctuated by his collection of prominent tattoos, most notably his full sleeves which were revealed last year. The video he posted drew plenty of attention from fans, one of whom was compelled to comment: "Awesome pal, love the logo on the cap."

Another fan offered enthusiastic approval: "That is sick man."

In the video, fans had the opportunity to get a closer look at George's recent addition - a large tattoo illustrating himself in a 'Singin' in the Rain' performance. His body art also includes reference to his acting career with elements like film reels and theatre masks inked onto his skin.

George found love with Kazmin Borrer while working on the production of 'Everybody's Talking About Jamie'. The couple frequently offer their Instagram followers sneak peeks into their relationship, recently celebrating their fourth anniversary together.

Throughout the Christmas season, George shared a delightful clip of himself and Kazmin stealing a festive kiss, reminiscent of a romantic movie scene. The pair share not just love, but also a passion for travel and have shared snapshots of their global escapades across New York, Venice, and Los Angeles over the past 12 months.
