ITV Coronation Street's Billy star Daniel Brocklebank appears in BBC EastEnders in crossover

Daniel Brocklebank has appeared in BBC EastEnders in a major crossover. The ITV Coronation Street star, who plays Billy Mayhew, spoke out on Instagram after he appeared in a classic episode of EastEnders on BBC iPlayer and BBC Three.

Daniel typed: "So…. Having arrived in classic @emmerdale four days ago it now appears I’ve arrived in @bbceastenders 2010 this week too. @coronationstreet @bbceastenders & @emmerdale in the same week. Is this some kind of soap record?"

Taking to Instagram on Monday (April 22), Daniel - who is currently in a motor neurone disease storyline with on-screen boyfriend Paul Foreman, played by Peter Ash, shared a picture of himself now, stood alongside the TV showing himself in Emmerdale 20 years ago.

He said: "Today Ivan Jones entered #ClassicEmmerdale… I’m now officially running in two amazing shows on @itv Here’s me at 24 and 44…" Emmerdale star Laura Norton was quick to respond, writing: "Amazing."

And another Instagram user and soap said: "Wow I remember that!!! Nicola tried to seduce you in that nightdress and heels." Another follower then commented: "I remember it well. The love triangle between you Nicola and Paul."

Daniel previously shared a photo of himself and his partner Jordan Coulthard as they prepared to head to the special event. The soap star said: "Suited & booted for the #BurrowsStrictly Ball. A wonderful night raising awareness & much-needed funds for the #MND community."

Responding to the post, musician Jordan said: "A beautiful evening. You looked beautiful." Daniel's Corrie co-star Lisa George was also quick to respond, writing: "Proper dapper." While Peter's partner Amy Shawcross commented: "Aw you guys!!"

Another fan typed: "Gorgeous!! You both look adorable!!" And another replied: "Suited and Booted and two stunners." And another typed: "What a handsome couple you are." And another added: "Couple of very cool dudes there."
