ITV Coronation Street's Claire Sweeney sends heartfelt message after major Ricky Hatton announcement

Claire Sweeney has expressed her immense pride as Ricky Hatton achieved a significant honour.

The Coronation Street actress, who's reportedly been dating the boxing icon since meeting on Dancing On Ice, couldn't contain her excitement as Hatton was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the US.

The 53 year old shared her joy following Hatton's Instagram post where he revealed his name now graces the wall near boxing legend Roberto Duran. He posted: " I'm on the wall 2ft from Roberto @robertoduranbox".

Over the moon with the news, the Walton-born star commented: "So proud. This is amazing."

Hatton, known as 'The Hitman', attended the International Boxing Hall of Fame induction today, contributing to charity efforts for the community. Sweeney, who often updates her followers about her personal life on Instagram, recently opened up about her struggle to stay motivated with exercise, reports the Liverpool Echo.

She admitted: "Finding it really hard to motivate myself these days to exercise. But feel so much better when I do. I need to get into a routine, which is hard sometimes when work, life, laziness and hormones get in the way!".

In response, Hatton offered his encouragement, replying: "You go girl. xxx".
