ITV Dancing On Ice star Claire Sweeney cosies up to Ricky Hatton as they share public update

Claire Sweeney has shared a public update with Ricky Hatton amid rumours the two are dating.

The two met on the latest season of Dancing On Ice and have reportedly been "dating for weeks". Earlier this month the two were spotted enjoying a pub crawl in Greater Manchester, and the Mirror reported another date saw them and some friends visit Liverpool's Hot Water Comedy Club.

Claire regularly shares updates from her life on Instagram and the former Brookside star has posted a snap alongside the boxing legend tonight. The two appear to be at the new Co-Op Live arena in Manchester, which opened tonight.

The 23,500 capacity arena is holding its test event tonight (April 20) with a headline performance from Newton-le-Willows' Rick Astley. The Coronation Street star shared a snap alongside the former Light Welterweight champion on the concourse at the event.

It has been a big week for Claire as she celebrated her 53rd birthday on Wednesday. Hatton sent a message to Claire to mark the day.

The 45-year-old said: "Happy birthday Claire. Have the best day gorgeous. Lots of love. Ricky. xxx @claire.sweeney" Claire quickly replied: "Thank you darling". And after Claire herself shared a post to commemorate her birthday, along with her son Jaxon, Ricky simply posted: "xxxxxx", to which Claire replied with a series of red heart emojis.
