Emmerdale fans will be introduced to a brand new character called Rose, played by Christine Tremarco, who is known to Will Taylor, the husband of soap favourite Kim Tate, in the latest episode of the ITV soap.

Bolshy and boisterous, Rose has recently been living in Benidorm and her arrival is sure to cause a stir when Will fails to mention her to Kim, played by Claire King. Christine is no stranger to television and will be a familiar face to many thanks to her roles on Waterloo Road, Casualty, and Fat Friends, just to name a few.

The 47-year-old played school secretary and learning support assistant Davina Shackleton in Waterloo from 2007 to 2009. She also played Linda Andrews in Casualty from 2010 to 2013 and starred as Clare Hannon/Sarah Fricker in the early 2000 series Fat Friends.

More recent television credits include Safe House, The Responder, where she played Dr. Diane Gallagher, Bea in Kidnapped, and Marie Thompson in 2017's Little Boy Blue.
