The winners of The Fortune Hotel were unveiled in Thursday's final episode, with Jo-Anne and her son Will being declared the victors. The mother-son duo, aged 55 and 20 respectively, were left gobsmacked as they bagged a staggering £210,000.

The announcement was made by host Stephen Mangan, who presented the final three pairs - Jo-Anne and Will, best mates Jae and Cherish, and married couple Aysha and Samm. Stephen, 56, announced: "So... now let's find out who won The Fortune Hotel" as each pair opened their cases, revealing stacks of cash in Jo-Anne and Will's suitcase.

In a video clip, an overwhelmed Will said: "The whole time I've been here, I've been lost for words but now it's just to the next level. There's no words to describe the emotions running through my body right now, I feel like I'm tingling, I feel like I've been struck by lightning."

In a heartwarming twist, the winning pair decided to share their good fortune, gifting rivals Samm and Aysha £5,000 from their winnings for a honeymoon and treats for their children. This generous act moved viewers to tears, as seen in their emotional responses on Twitter.

One viewer expressed their delight: "Oh I love that they have given them £5,000 they didn't have too! But that's amazing! #TheFortuneHotel", while another tweeted: "Oh fair play to Will and Jo for giving Samm and Aysha 5K #TheFortuneHotel" accompanied by crying emojis.

A third person shared their emotional reaction: "Wow, so happy with the result of #TheFortuneHotel @FortuneHotelUK. I rarely have tears in my eyes watching a tv programme, but loved Will and Jo-Ann from day one. Lovely mom and son and winners. Congratulations."

The Fortune Hotel made its debut earlier this month, challenging 10 duos to vie for a staggering £250,000 cash prize. Upon arrival, each pair is handed a briefcase, with only one containing the grand prize. In an interview with the Daily Star, Jo-Anne, a skin cancer survivor thanks to treatment at Retford Hospital's lymphoedema department near Sheffield, revealed her intention to purchase a lymphatic drainage machine for the facility.

Jo-Anne explained her altruistic plan: "I want to buy the machine for the department. They have a waiting list, so people often wait a while to get to use one. So if I get them one, I'm hoping it can help somebody."

Beyond the medical equipment, the winning pair intends to support a food bank and assist family members financially. Jo-Anne elaborated on her personal plans: "I'm going to pay my mortgage off and my daughter is desperate to have a new bathroom. And I'll get myself a new handbag!"
