Loose Women's live audience and viewers at home were left gobsmacked by the panel's frank discussion on body hair.

During Friday's episode, 21 June, the conversation among hosts Kaye Adams, Judi Love, Linda Robson, and Dame Kelly Holmes turned to the topic of women experiencing increased body hair with age.

Kaye Adams kicked off the segment by querying: "Have you noticed increased body hair as you've got older? " She highlighted 75% of women experience this due to the likes of menopause, hormonal shifts, and certain medications. Directing her question to Linda, she cheekily asked: "So, Linda, have you got bits sprouting where they shouldn't be sprouting?"

Linda Robson candidly shared about her changing pubic hair, reminiscing about having "a lovely, brown bushy..." before lamenting: "Now all I've got is a few stragglers."

Her revelation had the studio audience in fits of laughter, and she humorously added she now has less hair on her arms and only shaves the front of her legs, leaving the back untouched, much to Judi's astonishment, reports OK!.

The banter escalated with more chuckles and suggestive remarks as Judi chimed in with her own hairy tale. She recounted a visit to the dentist where, after having a tooth removed and feeling slightly woozy, the dentist remarked: "I had this tooth taken out, I was a bit dazed and she looked at me and said, 'Hell no, that's got to go all that hair under your chin bogleing in the wind.'

To top off the hairy confessions, Kaye disclosed she had a mole on her neck with hair growing from it, announcing they would remove it live on air. Judi and Kelly were all set with clippers and a keepsake box, eager to help Kaye Adams part with her surplus locks.

"Oh my god, these are bent," Kelly blurted out as she neared Kaye's chin, prompting Kaye to respond: "Well make sure they're bent the right way." "Hold it out," directed Kelly, admitting: "I'm shaking," before finally cutting the hair amid rapturous applause from the studio audience.

However, viewers at home were far from thrilled, taking to social media to voice their dismay. "Why has this show descended into being gross," one viewer lamented, while another declared: "Car crash tv at it's finest!"

"This is the weirdest episode EVER," another added, with someone else writing: "That's disgusting, just spat my brew out," and another stating: "This is vile and it's making me physically ill." Another viewer questioned: "Why did you show the tugging of a hair from a mole at lunchtime? ? ? Thanks so much for that."

Loose Women has been no stranger to controversy. Just earlier this week, the typically light-hearted chat show took a sudden turn as Kaye had to quickly apologise when not one but two panellists embargoed protocol and accidentally used swear words live on air.

The episode had commenced with a discussion around modern slang abbreviations, which are largely used on social media Kaye gave an example of Platty Joobs for the Platinum Jubilee. Despite the discussion leading to the panel exploring classic older slang terms, which they argued were superior and more understandable, the mood shifted when Janet casually asked: "Can I say t*ts up?".

Her query prompted giggles from the audience, but co-star Kaye swiftly cautioned: "Janet, the answer to that you asked me a question and no."

Following Janet's on-air blooper, the programme went to an ad break without any further acknowledgement of the incident. Once back on air, the focus turned to Brenda's unconventional fashion choices, in which she illustrated her preference for jumpsuits over dresses a choice met with skepticism from her fellow panellists.

Kaye, while discussing the merits of wearing dresses, let slip: "Well, I mean lets see these b****y.." She abruptly halted, catching herself mid-word and gasped, recognising her slip-up on live television.

"Everybody is naughty on this panel today, you lot are naughty," Brenda remarked, as laughter ensued. Denise quipped in jest: "It's half term Kaye Adams".
