Brenda Edwards has declared she's too busy for love at the moment, and instead is enjoying lapping up single life at the age of 55.

The beloved TV personality, known for being a panelist on Loose Women, is a devoted mother to her daughter Tanisha and fondly recalls her late son Jamal, who sadly passed away in 2022 at just 31 years old.

Despite previous relationships, Brenda is quite happy being single, sharing with Woman's Own: "No, I'm single and loving it. I don't need a man, or a woman. I'm fine with just me, myself and I. You've got to enjoy your own company. Plus, I'm really busy, so I haven't got the time to date."

Brenda has carved out a successful career over the years, having shot to fame on X Factor in 2005. She has since taken part in musical theatre productions such as Hairspray and We Will Rock You.

She did mention, however, she's lost touch with the show's judges, though Sharon Osbourne has attended some of her performances, reports the Mirror.

Brenda revealed: "They're all busy. Sharon Osbourne came to see me star in a couple of shows, like 'We Will Rock You' and 'Chicago', but I'm not really in touch with any of the judges. As far as the acts are concerned, I'm in contact with Chico, Andy Abraham, Fleur East of course, and The Conway Sisters."

Despite The X Factor concluding in 2018, Brenda is enthusiastic about the show's potential comeback and is open to performing on it once more.

She was particularly excited about the introduction of live bands, which occurred after her stint on the show. She expressed: "I'd love it to return and I'd love to go on it again because during my time there we used backing tracks, but then two years later they introduced live bands. I think any singer would love to sing with a live band."
