ITV Love Island fans declare 'greatest moment of all time' as Ciaran rips into Harriett with brutal comment

Love Island fans have hailed a the final few minutes of Wednesday night's episode the 'greatest' after Ciaran Davies made a biting comment to Harriett Blackmore.

It all unravelled after a seemingly innocent game of 'never have I ever' around the campfire. One question thrown in was: "Never have I ever been two-faced about someone in this villa..." which, naturally, caused quite a stir.

Things blew up when Ciaran admitted: "For instance, people make comments and then straight after be all nice to me. They say: 'You know, for instance, you need to be careful with him and then oh you're actually really good Ciaran with her. You treat her so well.' So cut the bulls**t, that's Harriett!"

Harriett was left stunned as she asked: "Elaborate?" To which Ciaran said: "I just explained it!", adding: "You made a comment of Nicole apparently needs to be careful with me and then the day after going: "Oh, Ciaran, you're so good.'"

Harriett branded Ciaran "immature" hitting back with: "Cool, when you're making comments about other Islanders and I'm having a conversation with my friend, I'm going to say that. Yeah? Cool. Honestly, you're so immature, it's actually embarrassing... next!"

In retaliation, Ciaran followed up with: "Alright, cool, I haven't been like second choice three times in here, so..." His swipe left the fellow Islanders so shocked, they asked Ciaran to repeat himself. He reiterated: "I said you're the one who has been second choice like three times in here so..."

Ronnie Vint, who was previously in a love triangle with Jess White and Harriett, then said: "She's first choice now though, brother" as an angry Harriett replied: "Honestly, f**k you, Ciaran, genuinely" to which he hit back with: "You wish!" Harriett then burst into tears as she stormed off with some of the other Islanders following her as the episode ended.

Fans were quick to respond, taking to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts. Many praised Ciaran for his comments - going as far as calling him their 'winner'.

Sharing a clip of the spat, @maddyjane_xx said: "I fear this is one of the most iconic moments in Love Island to date. Harriet looking him up and down like a piece of s*** to then be absolutely devoured. Ciaran, you are that. You’re a winner baby" as @septimusajprime reckoned: "This might be the greatest love island moment of all time".

@Chrimo__ said: "Give Ciaran the prize money neowww, the guy has been consistently real and I love that for him #loveIsland" as @FadziieMichelle wondered: "Can Ciaran win the show by himself? I stan #loveIsland".

Others weren't so impressed, as @elongatedmusk__ scolded: "ciaran coming for harriet so personally was so uncalled for? i understand why everyone comes for age now #loveisland" as @StaceyEllen91 agreed: "Ciaran was such a disappointment for speaking to Harriet like that, just mean and unnecessary. He was getting exposed in that game and shifted the attention elsewhere..."
