A familiar face is set to grace ITV's This Morning programme with showbiz updates, as Sian Welby heads off on her maternity leave. The presenter and Capital FM host joined Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on Monday, June 10, where she disclosed who would be stepping into her shoes during her time off.

Sian, 37, is preparing for a break from the show as she anticipates the arrival of her first child with her partner Jake Beckett, an announcement she made earlier in the year. As Sian sat down with Ben and Cat, Ben said: "First it's time for the latest showbiz news, Sian is here, for your very last date with us before you go off to pop."

Sian responded: "Yes, exactly which I think I've pushed as far as I can without going into labour on this sofa!" Ben continued: "We are thrilled that you are here for one last time and you've got a bit of an exclusive for us as well? " hinting at the revelation of Sian's temporary replacement.

Echoing the sentiment of continuity, the new stand-in is also a renowned figure from Capital Breakfast. Without hesitation, Sian divulged: "I do because I know the showbiz news needs to be left in good hands and somebody that deals with showbiz stories every morning and actually works alongside me most mornings when I am doing the radio... This is the handover of all handovers!

She stated: "I really think this is the perfect guy for the job, I work with him every morning and he's fantastic."

Sian Welby then announced that Jordan North, who joined Capital FM in April 2024 as Roman Kemp's replacement, would be stepping in. Reacting to the info, an amazed Ben said: "This is the showbiz handover, like on the relay", Sian agreed humorously, saying: "This is like the baton in the Olympics."

Later, as Jordan joined the trio in the studio, Sian told Ben and Cat: "I'm so glad it's Jordan. You are brilliant and he's the perfect guy for the job, we have such a laugh on Capital."

Jordan, 34, has over a decade of experience, earning plaudits for his radio work on BBC Radio 1, and gaining experience covering for other prominent radio personalities, reports The Mirror. In September 2020, he was unveiled as the regular weekend presenter on BBC Radio 1 and often filled in for Scott Mills and Nick Grimshaw, leading to his nickname the "supply teacher."

Jordan has been hosting Help I Sexted My Boss since 2018, but his portfolio expands beyond that, including Got What it Takes and even a stint on the 20th season of I'm A Celebrity, where he came runner-up to Jungle Queen Giovanna Fletcher.
