A tourist on his first-ever trip to Scotland was taken aback - when a pair of strangers paid for his £25 meal in a café. Idris Oyeniyi, 29, had tucked into a breakfast at Glasgow's Café Gandolfi and was expecting to pay the bill. But, unbeknown to him, a couple had overheard him telling staff it was his first time in Scotland - so decided to pay for him.
Las Vegas police said they are still investigating an incident during which two dogs were left in a car in the Las Vegas suburb of Sunrise Manor on a scorching day in May, before an officer rescued them.Footage released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on July 3 shows the officer breaking the windows of the car to rescue the overheated pups, who were “tethered and struggling inside a hot minivan.”“At the time of the rescue, it was nearly 100 degrees outside. The interior temperature of the van was 110 degrees and the dogs were in dire need of cooler conditions,” police said.The dogs were taken to a local shelter, police said.
