This Morning's Vanessa Feltz has revealed her daughter was rushed to hospital after ending up 'in a pool of blood' following a nasty accident. The 62 year old TV star shared the frightening experience with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on today's episode of the ITV show.

Vanessa explained that her daughter Allegra, 36, who she shares with ex Michael Kurer, was walking home from walk when she tripped on an uneven pavement slab. Vanessa revealed that her daughter was wearing trainers and wasn't looking at her phone but ended up lying in a "pool of her own blood".

Vanessa told the hosts: "She went flying on an uneven slab of pavement. She hurtled through the air and we think that she hit her face as she fell on another sticking up, jagged, uneven slab of pavement." An ambulance was called and Allegra was quickly taken to hospital after being "extremely badly injured".

Vanessa disclosed that Allegra's elbow is broken in two places, she has a black eye and a deep cut under her chin. Furthermore, the Celebs Go Dating star mentioned that her daughter could possibly have broken her shoulder and hand too.

Vanessa added: "We don't even know how many broken bones she's got yet. I just don't want anyone else to take a fall, but also you don't want to spend all your life looking down and picking your way along the pavement like it's an obstacle course. You want to feel safe that you can walk along the pavement for God's sake, don't you?".

Vanessa shares daughters Allegra, 36, and Saskia, 33, w ith her first husband, surgeon Michael Kurer, who she wed in 1983 and divorced in 2000. They split after allegations of cheating.

Speaking on the How To Fail podcast, Vanessa explained how she felt a physically broken after he left her and even begged him to stay. She said: "I don't need to give you all of the details, but effectively I put my arms around the wheels and said, 'Please don't drive away, please don't leave us.'

"I remember getting home from a wedding with him and thought he was getting ready for bed. The next thing I saw, he was getting dressed and packing a case and said, 'I'm leaving'. I didn't understand what I'd done wrong."
